Braun Series 3 340 Men's Shaver

Product Description

braun TriControl Shaver is excellent choice for long hair trimmer. It could be used with a rechargeable battery, which could fully charge with in 1 hour. And with convenient low battery indicator, which signals power remaining for 2 more shaves, you would never have to run out of power at any time. Each charge it is good up to 40 minutes cordless shaving time.

Customer Buzz
i have owned Braun shavers in the past, that i liked very much. The 340 is not an outstanding poduct. I think my 4 year Remington is superior in performance.i intend to retun it for a refund.

Customer Buzz
The price for this exact model (same packaging etc etc) is $69 at Walmart and Target.

Although price here seems to have gone up, it is still far cheaper.

Bought for my dad who has been a lifetime blade user and can't use blades to shave anymore(anticoagulant medication), he thinks it does a pretty good job.

Customer Buzz
Have been using the Braun Series 3 340 Men's Shaver for a weeks now; Initially skeptical about it after reading some of the reviews -

But thoroughly satisfied with the smooth and seamless shave

+ Super quick charge time and retention capacity of the battery
+ Seamless shave leaving the skin smooth and without razor bumps
+ Easy to clean and maintain

- Takes some getting used to, especially if you are switching from a regular razor
- Leaves some traces of hair in the neck which even after a lot of effort was difficult to shave - had to bring out my Gillette to get the job done =)

For best results use with Williams Lectric Pre-shave and finish up with a Neutrogena Post shave lotion!

Customer Buzz
I purchased this Shaver to replace an old Remington that gave me excellent service for many years until the battery just wore out. The Braun Series 3 340 is horrible. It is noisy for sure but that is only a minor inconvenience. It takes 10 minutes or more to shave and it still leaves fine hair and stubble all over my face. The only way I can shave is under a bright light or I will leave stubble even tough I have passed over it several times. I can never get a clean shave. If you purchase this shaver you will have thrown away your money. I certainly did and I am now searching for another replacement.

Customer Buzz
I replaced a well-used, high-end Braun shaver with this model because I needed something immediately after it broke (no complaints on that score - it gave years of great service). After six months, I'm now replacing it because it just doesn't compare well to what I had before.

The major let-down has been that the trimmer isn't powered and therefore doesn't cut. I guess it's only designed to help you lift hairs to be cut by the foil. It's useless for neatly trimming sideburns or getting rid of unruly hair on the back of your neck. In addition to that, the cutter block easily comes loose during cleaning (with the foil removed) and is often difficult to reattach.

That said, I'm choosing Braun again for my next shaver because they have made the best shavers I've ever used, but I'm spending the extra money for a high-end model.

If you just want something basic, then fine. But if you want a great shave, then this isn't the model to go for. I'd recommending spending more for something you'll really appreciate.

Braun Series 3 340 Men's Shaver

I purchased the Braun 340 because I am currently tired of blade shaving and I travel a lot and a shaver takes up less room in my bag than a razor, shave cream & spare blades. I have vascilated over the years between a shaver - prior Brauns & Norelcos - and a blade - current blade is the Fusion.

I have found the Braun 340 to be a very good value as a shaver, but the trimmer is not particularly easy to use - especially if you have a goatee.

The Good - The shaver works well on all my shaving areas - face and neck. It requires a minimal number of passes to get the beard cut (assuming that you pull the skin tight) and it does not pinch or cut my skin. The shave is pretty close as well, so I like the shaver aspect of this bit of kit.

The Not So Good - The trimmer is a straight trimmer, i.e., not a 90 degree angle so you have to extend it and sort of stab at your face to use it. This works OK so long as you don't have facial hair you want to keep where the foil hovers. If you have a goatee, when trimming your moustache you have the choice of shortening either your moustache or beard on your upper lip. This is the reason that I rated this unit 4 rather than 5 stars - would have gone 3.5 if that was an option.

Overall - I like this shaver, but the trimmer should be a 90 degree job. Fortunately, I have to shave the goatee for work anyway, so the trimmer's limitations are not a deal breaker for me at this point. I can't see spending another $80+ for the proper trimmer and the pointless alcohol bath which continues to eat your $$$.

Customer Buzz
The Braun 340 can shave real close around the face. I have to agree with some of the other guys, though. Even straight out of the box, it takes about twice as long to complete a shave as it did with my old Norelco, mostly because of my neck area. It just doesn't shave as close around my neck and I have to make several, several, SEVERAL passes to get it smooth (my "beard" is not that heavy either.)

Actually, my first Braun 340 fell apart before my first recharge. Seriously, one day the trimming handle came loose and was flopping around, but I was still able to finish my shave. Not holding that against Braun, I stayed with the same model number when I exchanged it.

Overall, I think I just like the three-head system better. The extra time required to shave (again, mostly around the neck area) has gotten old. The end result, however, is still a real close shave.

Customer Buzz
My older higher end Braun 7526 went kaput so looked for a reasonably priced replacement. This model has the same cutting head and foil as my older one so I bought it. The only disappointment is in the long hair cutter. It does not have the same L angle at the blade that the more expensive models have, so it is much more difficult and dangerous to use.

Turned out that my older model 7526 was not actually dead. The wall plug charger was simply broken. I use the charger of this model 340 to charge both. Now have two razors :-)

Customer Buzz
I have used four Norelcos over many decades. Rather than buying new cutters for two year old shaver, time to try Braun. I have used new Series 3/340 for three weeks now. Smooth but NOT close; particularly on neck. Leaves too much stubble. I do not particularly like these little buzzing/vibrating razors but I suppose I would get used to that. Contrarily, Norelco feels like it has small balanced electric motor in comparison. To get a close shave I find I have to go back and RESHAVE with Norelco. Not good! Norelco trimmer is vastly superior to Braun's. I have sixty days in which to return. I will put up with it for another week or so and then return it if shaves don't get anywhere as close as they did with all my previous Norelcos. Not a bad product. Just mediocre results, but that does not make a nice, clean shave. I am disappointed. Expected more. I do love the ability to rinse with water after shaving though.

Customer Buzz
I bought this as a replacement for a Remington MS-2700, when I had to ship that one back to the manufacturer for a replacement. I've had the Braun 340 for about 3 weeks now, and I can already say that I won't be switching back to the Remington if/when they send me a new one.

The 340 shaves way closer than the previous shaver, and I'm not left with razor burn when I'm finished; in fact, it feels very soothing compared to what I've been used to in the past.

The one fault I've found is with the sideburn trimmer, which doesn't seem to cut as neatly as the Remington did.

For some odd reason, Braun included a charging cord with my unit. Three weeks I've been using it, and I have yet to see any reduction in battery power. Maybe the battery will eventually go dead and I'll need the cord to recharge it, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. [in other words, battery life seems incredible!]

4-stars only because of the less than stellar sideburn trimmer. Other than that, I'm very happy I bought this.

Panasonic WES9070P Men's Shaver Replacement Inner Blade (2 Blades)

Product Description

It is recommended that you replace the inner blade at least every two years to maintain your shaver's cutting performance. It works with Models ES762, ES765, ES766, ES881, ES882, ES883, ES7002, ES7003, ES7006, ES7007, ES7008, ES8065, ES8066, ES8067, ES8068, ES8080.

Customer Buzz
Very disappointed. I purchased this and the replacement blades are linked to my shaver- they don't fit. not even close to being a match to my razor. Thought I made a mistake, looked it up and this same advertisement for the blades are linked to my razor. They do not fit. OF course to get the blades out of the package, you have to tear the package apart. This is the first time I feel I was ripped off by Amazon- your advertisement clearly was wrong- these blades do not fit my razor.

Customer Buzz
These are the genuine Panasonic blades....not the cheap knock-offs like other products that are being sold. Buy with confidence.

Customer Buzz
I have owned a ES8068 for about 8 years. At the time I bought it consumer reviews regarded it as the best. I could cearly see why after I bought it, as I also had a new Remmington, and even tried a Grundig. No comparison. I have used the original blades and foil head since I have owned it. I get a good shave but it takes progressively longer. Occasionally I even get pulled hairs... which never happened in the past. Replacement blades were $70 in the past, so I kept putting off changing them. Recently I decided it was time and ordered the blade foil head combination pack. Immediately I noticed a major difference in the construction of the blades. Panasonic, or whoever designed the baldes, took a continuous rectangular piece of metal, slotted it, and wrapped it around and attached it to the plastic base which connects to the blade mount. The original blades consisisted of a series of 28 individual blades made out of thick steel, mounted individually in the plastic base. The orginal blades where much higher quality, and had significantly more solid and substantial construction. The new blades do not even come close. I was ready to send them back when I first saw them!
But I had to try them to see how they performed.
The replacement blades sound different than the old ones. Higher pitched, and more hollow, less substantial. The shave they delivered was also less substantial... It was almost as if I did not even change the blades. It took a long time to shave, and I had the pulling again, which I experinced with the 8 year old blades. I did get shaved, and after a while, it was not bad, but it took as long as the old blades did.

This appears to be another example of cutting corners and keeping costs down....

Too bad for Panasonic, and the have seriously compromised quality here.

I put the oringinal blades back in, and have returned to using them.

Panasonic states on the foil head / blade pack, that "The blade's shape has been modified since March 2004."

They should have said " We threw out the original, excellent, solid design and construction of the original blades in March 2004, and have replaced them with this very cheap, flimsy, shabby substitute, which will not shave you nearly as well as the originals."

NOT recommended... but there appears to be no choice.

Customer Buzz
I had purchase this as part of Amazon's recommendation when I purchased my Panasonic razor. Little did I know that it was the wrong part until I have to replace my blades (1 1/2 years later.) I wish Amazon would do cross-checks before placing products together!

Customer Buzz
These blades seem to be better than the originals that came with my razor. Mine were several years old and these new blades deliver a much better shave faster!

Customer Buzz
Works great on face, but Im still using my Schick on my neck. This is absolutely useless on the neck. It is great for guys with sensitive skin, and those with problems with ingrown hairs. I've had it 4 months, and only one ingrown hair. Worth the money if you deal with shaving your neck by other means.

Customer Buzz
I give this Braun a 2 out of 5. It's not junk, and does a half-decent job, but it takes a long time to shave with, isn't as close as you'd want, and is more expensive. And so are the replacement foils and blades.

I learned today that the cheaper Norelco beats this Braun hands-down.
http://www.amazon.com/Philips-Norelco-7310-Shaving-System/dp/B001AJ6YS2

I used the Braun product for 8 months. I gave it a fair chance. Unfortunately I was never really completely happy with it. It took so long to get the job done - probably 10-15 minutes or so. And never got as close as blades. BUT....I discovered a big upside to electric. Less annoying and painful ingrown hairs (angle of cut). So I stuck with the Braun and sacrificed my time and shaved with this product and planned to get new foils and blades when necessary, sure that I'd save money in a few years, plus enjoy less ingrowns. I lived with the other downsides of this product, constant mess (hair in/around sink), cost of cleaning fluid, and noise.

Then came time to replace the worn foil and discovered the I'd give up another 43 bucks. Shoot...a new Norelco 7310 was 5 bucks cheaper at $38....so I stood there and contemplated. I'd read some good reviews of the Norelcos, plus the replacement blades were 25% cheaper than Braun's.

So I decided to give it a chance. I took it to the car and shaved in the parking lot. It was hands-down a faster, closer, and more pleasing shaving experience. It's a no-brainer. Braun's marketing might fool you....but the reality is that the cheaper Norelco is what you want to take your wallet out for.

Customer Buzz
In the first instance, this razer does not shave all that well. When my old razer died, I bought a $25 dollar Norelco as an emmergency replacement. After upgrading to this...and giving my face time to adjust...and doing several variations of side by side test...I was suprised and dissappointed to see that this razor takes longer and doesnt shave as close as the $25 Norelco, particularly for day to day use. (The Norelco seems to do poorly if days are skipped, as on the weekend, while this doesnt seem to matter as much with the Braun.)

While the side-by-side tests might warrant one star alone, consider how you would feel if you tried to use this thing to shave your bald head and 80% of the hair taken from your face immediately dumped on your head. Not a one time thing, it just doesnt hold shavings properly. Even in routine facial use it does leak some shavings, which isnt cool for a razor in this price range.

Avoid. Dont get sucked in by the hype.

Customer Buzz
For some reason, I can't get this shaver to do a clean shave on my neck. It simply can't follow the curves of a neck very well. It does a great job on my face however. I continued to try it for about 3 months, and still couldn't get a clean shave on my neck, and when I came close, I had to run it over my neck so many times that it causd irritation. Guess I'll go back to my old shaver and just replace the foils.

The cleaning fluid seems like a gimmick. I never needed it before...

Customer Buzz
I've owned this for about two months now, and (according the the shaver) I've shaved 35 times.
This is the first electric shaver I've ever owned, and before I bought this I researched and read many reviews, and was pretty sure this was one of the best ones. After I used it for the first time I was a little disappointed. It took me about twice as long to shave compared to a normal razor, and afterwords I could feel a lot of little hairs it would miss. In order for me to get a decent shave I would have to use one hand and stretch my skin and go over spots a lot with it, but could still see it missing some of the ones that were laying flat against my face.
I finally got the hang of it, and can now get a pretty good shave, but it still takes quite a while and sometimes can't get them all. If I ever need to get somewhere quick I always reach for my manual razor and shaving cream.

Another little annoyance, is the self cleaning thing. It has 3 different cleaning modes (eco, normal, intensive), and I figured it would select the mode based on how clean/dirty it was; This is not the case. I would clean it pretty good manually after every shave because I was hoping to save money by not going through the cleaning solution as fast. So after one shave and putting it back in the charger it said it just needed an "eco" clean. If I would shave, then clean it manually, then not put it back in the base and shave again, and clean it manually again, then put it in the base it said it needed a "normal" clean. So it's not based on how dirty it is, it's based on how long it's used between cleans. So it's probably better to just let it clean itself using the "eco" clean after every shave, because I think three "eco" cleanings is less time than an "intensive" one, meaning less cleaning solution used.

After 2 months and 35 shaves; According to the base, the cleaning solution is still full, so I'm happy with that. But the other day the display on the shaver said to replace foil and cutting head, I only saw it once, but I was hoping that would last for at least 6 months, we'll see..

Customer Buzz
I bought this shaver for my husband and i cant say a bad thing about it. It was definitely worth the money, my husband says its the closest shave he has ever had. I would definitely recommend this product to my friends and family.

Customer Buzz
The series 5 (8995) shaver produced a very close shave for me. I used a Norelco shaver for thirty years. I thought that I would try the Braun to see if it would be a closer shave. I believe that it is. I wanted the series 7, but went with the series 5 due to price (about $60 difference). I am very pleased with the function and feel of the shaver. It is much easier to handle and maneuver around my face. Don't know if it needs to be cleaned as often as the shaver displays. Highly recommend this shaver.

Customer Buzz
Does not give as good a shave as the past Braun's I have owned. First time that I have had razor nicks with an electric shaver.

Customer Buzz
Received as a Christmas present, I was going to "make myself like it" if it didn't fully measure up. No worries. This is the best shaver I've ever used, from early Shick, later Remingtons, Norelcos & even Braun's, though they [Braun] were the best up to this point. Fresh-out-of-the-carton shave was just plain fantastic. Really, REALLY close - without taking any particular pains. Subsequently, I have been using Williams "Lectric Shave" with it, hoping to extend the life of the shaver head, but it shaves fine either way. Haven't yet tried its cleaning station, having been on the road. Can't speak to it's longevity, yet - but I sure am happy on the honeymoon. I never expected a shave this good from an electric razor. Put me down as "amazed" and exceedingly pleased.

Customer Buzz
Gives a realively close shave for an electric razor. The only other shave I like that is closer is a safety razor shave.

Customer Buzz
I was looking at Today's deal as I always do and I saw this item in gold Box and I was like, this is a good price for Braun. Usually Braun is very expensive. I never owned an electronic shaver before so I can't say Braun is better than the other ones. But I would have to say I was very impressed. It shaves close and it is painless. Very impressed with this and I am glad I got it for real cheap. I can't believe how much money I saved with this item in gold box. Thanks Amazon.

Customer Buzz
I am not impressed with the closeness of the shaves, even after the recommended "beard adjustment" time. For the money, I expected better. Cleaning with the base is nice, but I wonder if it is just a gimmick to sell more product.

Customer Buzz
I bought this shaver/clean & renew charging base used off Ebay for $37.09 plus $10.00 shipping for a total of $47.09, so I wasn't expecting much. My expectations, however, were far surpassed once I took delivery of this fine piece of German engineering. It was in perfect, near-new condition, and after an overnight charge, it lept into action and aggressively attacked my two-day growth of facial hair.

I had used the Gillette Sensor twin blade system for the last 15 years. I shaved with it in the shower using shaving oil. Irrefutably, this produced a good, clean, and close shave, but it also scraped away a microscopic layer of skin each day. Now that I have celebrated my 52nd birthday, my skin seems thinner and more prone to trauma, and blade shaving began to take its toll. In addition, the oil that I used with the blade began to make a mess that I had to clean from my shower stall, and I knew that I was spending more time in the shower--wasting hot water--than I would if I could find a good electric, dry shaving alternative.

I began a several-month quest to gather research in hopes of bypassing all the substandard models of shavers out there. The Braun Pulsonic was top-rated, but I seriously couldn't see paying some $200 for this product. I also found that the Remington MicroScreen 500 MS2-390 was highly-rated, but I liked the idea of Braun's clean and renew system. A July 2008 Consumer Reports article that rated Braun's 8985 model its #1 choice put me over the top, and I decided that the 8985 would also be my choice. I was patient in my quest to find the best possible deal, and then a couple weeks ago, BAM! I submitted the winning $47.09 bid for an 8985 Braun shaver on Ebay.

I've shaved with this unit for a full week now, and I must report that, "No, it does not shave as close as a blade." I doubt that this holy grail of shaving will ever be achieved with an electric shaver, at least in my lifetime. However, it does shave surprisingly close, and it does the job quickly. Indeed it takes me no longer to shave with the electric that it used to with the blade. In addition, I will now save hundreds of gallons of hot water (and a lot of money) each year by shaving in front of a mirror instead of in the shower. Indeed, I'd say that my showers are now approximately 33% shorter in durration.

Of course, I did have to learn to contort my face, hold and stretch my skin with my off-hand, and run the razor in just the right direction against the grain of hair growth on all parts of my beard. After a week of this, though, I now have it down-pat, and I have to say that the shave I get is "good enough." I understand that a shavee must allow up to a couple months of acclimation in order to receive the closest possible shave, so I anticipate that the closeness of my shave will only get better from here.

The Clean & Renew system works well too. After reading several posts, though, I've decided to only use it on a weekly basis, and in hindsight, I doubt that anyone would have to use it more often than that. I do remove the screen every other day and gently tap out the clippings.

Also, I plan to look into making my own formula to refill the clean and renew cartridges (the ingredients appear to consist mostly of SD Alcohol 40-B which, I found, is made nondrinkable not by making it poisonous, but by making it extremely bitter). Thus, this type of alcohol can be exposed to the skin without any risk of being poisoned via absorption through the skin.

Sorry, I got off the main topic. I must leave you with "Two Thumbs Up" for the fine Braun 8985 Shaver. It just feels substantial and durable, and when I am shaving, it doesn't even bog down the motor. This is worlds ahead of the last electric shaver I used back in the mid-80s (a Panasonic). I know I'll be enjoying the 8985 for a long time to come.

Customer Buzz
I bought this razor 2 months ago and I am very satisfied with it. I have had several Braun razors in the past as well as Remingtons, this one is by far the best I have used. I have to make several passes against the grain but after less than five minutes my face feels smooth like a baby's butt. My last Braun, 5-6 year ago, never cut close enough for me. I tried a Remington and it was no better, so I used a blade and would get razor burn and break out around my neck area, no burn or break out with this electric razor. I pop the foil and discharge the stubble in the trash after every shave. I clean the razor in the machine 2-3 times a week and after 2 months I have still not changed the cleaning cartridge, it still reads full. I highly recommend this razor!

Customer Buzz
bought this razor on recommendation of a shaver products store owner who was closing shop. It seems overpriced relative to other products I've used in the past and others that are on the market. I wanted a product with a long lifetime (previous shavers I've used with moderate frequency have lasted 2-3 years), and also with a clipper that could clip full beard including neck. The clipper head is too small to do this effectively. Perhaps the shaver will last a long time, but unless you're really into shaving, I'd buy a cheaper product.

Customer Buzz
I have been a BRAUN loyalist for many years and the latest model has an improved motor, blades and design. The quiet blades provide a very close, comfortable shave and easy to hold and manuver around face and neck. The included electric cleaner system seems unnecessary, but will see if it extends the life of the blades. BRAUN is at the top of electic shavers for a close and comfortable shave.

Customer Buzz
I bought this compulsively after reading all those hypes.

Everyone is different, and this shaver does not work for me very well.

1. It's not shaving as closely & cleanly as regular razor shavers.
2. Sometimes this thing sucks up your hairs and pulls them off of your skin. It really hurts when that happens.

Like I said, everyone's experience will be different because everyone has different facial shape and differet hair.

Customer Buzz
I've purchased this model Braun to replace a much older model and I think the money was well spent. The shaver produces a close shave, is quiet and feels well constructed. I've used Norelcos in the past and their rotary cutter design just does not have the fast coverage of the Braun design. I've never tried the Panasonic brands, so I can't comment on them. I've also looked at spending more on Braun's top of the line Pulstronic brand, and it may produce a little closer shave, but for another $100, I doubt it would be that much better.

Customer Buzz
(A note before I start: A lot of people who panned this in other reviews seem to think that an electric should shave as close as a manual bladed razor. I guess this might be a self-inflicted view created by the electric razor companies' own marketing teams, but it will never be true. A manual blade shave will always be a better cut than an electric razor.)

In terms of an electric razor - compared to other electrics - I have had a great experience with this one. I've had Braun and Philips/Norelco electrics in the past and this is the best of them.

It gives a good cut, the 'hedge trimmer' in the middle does a decent job on longer hairs on the occasions when I leave it several days between shaves, and despite what some have reported it doesn't seem any louder than any electric bar shaver I've had in the past. (yes its louder than an electric rotary shaver, but those are always quieter due to the type of mechanism).

I like the charging base, but to me its a nice-to-have and not really a feature of the razor itself (which is really the important thing after all).

The cleaning solution gizmo is also a good idea, but as many other reviewers here have already mentioned it doesn't need to be used as often as the Braun likes to tell you it does. I use mine once a week max, and in between I just slide the cartridge out and reseal it with the plastic cover it comes with to prevent evaporation.
The automatic cleaning process is quite loud, but does that really matter? If you only do it once a week or so, just plan on doing it when people aren't trying to sleep. It's like complaining that a coffee maker is loud when brewing a cappuccino, so what? Don't do it if baby is trying to sleep next to it.

I do occasionally find that it does miss some longer hairs in the area at the corner of the jawbone right near the ears, but I can remedy that by going over that area a couple of times again at the end of the shave. It doesn't always do this, so I suspect it has something to do with the angle of the razor when I make the first pass over that area which makes the difference.

Overall, a very good razor at a reasonable price.

Customer Buzz
I love this razor but, just as with a half dozen others I've tried, it does not shave as close as my Sensor blades with my "old fashioned" razor. However, this one doesn't leave stray, flattened hairs untouched as with my most recent Remington Platinum. The cleaner is a bit bulky but if you pop the razor foil (but still attached) and run it for 5 seconds most shavings fall out, it cleans on "economy" status which is shorter. It is left perfectly sanitized. It has two settings for a fixed shaving position or the free floating movement. I have no idea why it is called "360" since it only pivots in a back and forth manner and it's less than 45 degrees! The fixed position is better for hard to shave areas which negates the 360 feature. For me, a less expensive model with the same shaving head and cleaning system might be just as good.

I rather resent the expense of the cleaning cartridges given the considerable cost of the razor and the need to replace the head after 18 months (or when the machine tells you to.) I bought some denatured alcohol and fill the cleaning cartridge when it is half empty. This doubles the use of each cartridge. I also found a plastic container that fits snugly over the unit and prevents much of the evaporation of the alcohol. Buy cartridges through Amazon as they are cheaper that way. The listed ingredients simply indicates denatured alcohol and says nothing about lubricants as some reviewers indicated.

The cleaning unit senses when it needs to be charged so you don't need to give that a thought. It runs a long time between chargings.

One other very nice feature is that this razor captures all of the shavings unlike others I've had, so you can wander around using it while doing other things without fine clippings decorating your shirt.

Customer Buzz
I ordered a refurbished Braun 8985 shaver a couple months ago. I am very satisfied with it. I have used earlier Braun models and this is the best one that I've used. It's fast, fairly quiet and has a quick clean feature that is easy to use. The fact that it's refurbished made it available at an affordable price. I searched the internet thoroughly and this was the best quality shaver at the best price that I could find.

Customer Buzz
I searched the whole page trying to figure out if this refurbished unit came with a cleaning base without a success. I finally decided to purchase it since it was so cheap. To my dismay the until came loosely in a plain box. The only accessories included were a user's manual, a charger (appear to be new), a carrying bag (not the case that included with the new unit), and a cleaning brush. The razor works okay but I do wish the Amazon page had a clear sign saying "no cleaning base included."

Customer Buzz
I've used the shaver for a few weeks now and can honestly say it's the best razor I've ever used. Just as they claim, this shaver gets the hairs on the neck and in other areas that lay flat or cross-ways, even the very fine hairs that usually don't get cut.
I charged the battery when I got it and now some 3-4 weeks later it's still fully charged and cutting fine.
