Absolutely worth the price! Good looking, simple, fairly large so it can accommodate pretty much all brands of shave soap. But the best part is that 4 months later it still looks brand new and shiny! And admittedly I don't really take care of it much, and it sits in fairly wet environment near the basin. Definitely a good buy!


Exactly as promised. Well designed, well executed. Perfect solution - holds the soap but doesn't break if dropped. I don't use it for travel, but it looks like it would work well for that.

I went to "wet shaving" about three years ago, using cake soap. Then a couple of month back I decided to try this Poraso cream. Man what a difference!! I put a small amount in a bowl, lather it up with a brush, and apply. I not only get a smoother shave, but it doesn't clog up the razor like the cake soap did.

I'm hooked! No going back now.


I've only used that Captain Conk? or whatever its named bay rum and also Walmart cheap shaving soap. I bought this and it has made a huge difference. For a little insight, I have a Parker 91r. I've been working my butt off for the past half week and haven't shaved. I had the beginning of a beard forming. I should have used a trimmer before shaving, but I just went at it. It was a breeze using this stuff. In my personal experience, made my skin number, more of a cooling feel which help my face feel better and seems to help numbed it, had alot more protection to my skin than either soaps I've tried, had a good smell, and will last forever. My only problem was that it dries out more quickly. On another note though, I did not expect so little to go so far. I put out what I would normally put out for my toothbrush when brushing my teeth.. wrong. About each pea size amount offers roughly one full cover on your face. I roughly had enough cream whipped up for 3 or 4 passes. It also produces very good lather. Leave it to the Italians for great quality products. As long as I have the money to afford $[...] tubes, I will purchase them. I imagine one tube will last me 1-2 months considering I usually do only one pass unless I'm trying to impress. :) I have only tried the 2 soaps and this. Besides that factor, I highly suggest this. Oh, and the only reason I didn't rate it 5 is because I believe not much is perfect.


This is a great product. Especially for the money. I was used to spending the big dollars for Art of Shaving, and while it's not lavender, and in fact, strongly eucalyptus and menthol, it gives it a nostalgic barbershop aroma that I really enjoy. I've found it, and I'll keep on using it.


I have used Proraso for a long time. I like the smell and menthol effect. Use with or without a brush, but best for me with brush. One way to make it last longer is to use about what you'd place on your toothbrush, then mix with a hard soap. Makes great lather with the right water/soap mix. Don't know how I'd shave without it, unless I get Bigelow (which is made by the same company).


You guys will lovethis product!! Best smoothest shave ever!!! A little does go a long way as well. It took me 3 months to go through one tube, so worth the 10 bucks!! Menthol smell is great as well.


I have tried several different types of shaving cream; some of them rather expensive; but I always come back to this one. The eucalyptus cools your face so you don't feel razor burn. The tube is pretty big too, so it lasts a long time.




Proraso is simply the best. I use it with a hot badger brush and a Merkur trac razor.


I'm still on my first tube of this shaving cream but so far I really like it. A little bit goes a long way when used with a brush, so it looks like this tube will last a while. I was concerned that it might smell medicine-y since it says it has eucalyptus and menthol scents, but the fragrance is not at all like medicine. I like it. And the best part is that it leaves a cool refreshing feeling on your face when you wash it off. As for the quality of the shave, it seems to work very well and help me get close without too many cuts. I get a lot less nicks than with my last shaving cream. One note: if you order this online try to buy a couple at a time; The shipping is a little steep for just one.


I just spent $30 on a razor blade. I wasn't about to spend another $30+ on expensive English Shaving Soap. The eucalyptus provides an amazing cooling sensation. This stuff is fantastic compared to what's available in the local grocery store at almost the same price. It lasts forever too. I've spent a lot trying to get the best shave and this is one place to save money without sacrificing quality.

It is so much better than the ones from Walmart. Hasn't shed bristles so far. My husband loves it.


This brush is very very soft. After using a decent-quality boar bristle brush, this one feels like silk satin and holds a lot more lather.

It's short enough to fit in almost any brush drying stand, which many are not.


I've never used a shaving brush before, so here are my 1st experiences with this badger hair brush:

- Don't be alarmed when you 1st smell your brush. The smell only lasts a couple days.
- The bristles are coarser than I imagined, but it's not a big deal.
- The stand is ok if you point the bristles up. But to let it dry, the bristles should point down, and this stand is not designed for that.


Maybe because I know that it's beaver fur. Though it's soft, no lost hairs. Does the job!


do not pass go. this is the brush you have been looking for. it is better than all the others. it gets softer with us and is so good at lifting bristles and making foam.


I first started lathering with a brush using a cheap kit from a large discount store. It was a good experience, except for one thing. The brush from the other cheap kit shed all over me when lathering causing the razor to clog up, and getting in the way. It shed up to a dozen hairs every time I use it.

My quest started to find a good brush that was affordable and didn't shed. My search ended when I found this brush. It comes with a handy stand to keep the brush off the bristles so they can dry thoroughly between uses, and it has excellent glue that keeps the bristles in place. I haven't lost a single bristle in 1 month (the other brush was half gone by that time). I find this brush worth the premium over an inexpensive brush for this reason alone.

My only gripes about it are it smells a little like a wet dog/animal when it is wet (this might just be my sample, don't know), and it isn't all that fancy considering it is thirty bucks, plastic handle, plastic stand, and the smell. However, the function of the brush is the important part, and this does the job great. I would buy another if I lost it.


I purchased this product based off of the reviews I have read. I have never owned a brush before, so its hard to review this product without a reference point. I do know that the brush is very soft. It soaks up the water and makes a nice lather. Two or three hairs come out just about every time I use it, i hope that ends. For the price, I am going to assume the next best feeling and working brushes cost twice as much as this one, so I am going to say this was a a very good buy. For starters, this is a good brush that is cheap, and does the job very well.


This is my first badger hair brush after using a boar hair brush for a while And I really like the way it feels.

It really whips up a lather quickly. But I find the handle too short. It makes holding on a little difficult. It still gets to job done and I am really liking it. I think it will be a perfect traveling companion.


Great brush. Comfortable from day 1. I've been using it for almost a year and it's like new. I love it. Why spend more?


My first brush on my journey to enjoy a traditional wet shave. For the price this is an excellent brush. It holds water quite well which makes for an excellent lather. It feels a little spiky on my face, but does a good job in applying lather evenly. All in all this is an excellent badger hair brush for a boar hair price!
