My wife and I both tried this product and got no relief at all. She ended up with burns on her back and I had to take even more pain pills than without it. I have since read reports from medical journals that say this could even make your arthritis worse. This is a terrible product.

Have extensive use I found NO benefit from this device. I did give it a try. Another product sold using a movie star testamonial.
it seems to work. I am a patient of a DC who uses cold laser (a light
therapy) and this gives me relief during those times in between visits.He recommended I give this a try as it is the same principle and it is one that works amazingly well.
I even tried on my dog when his back was hurt and he became more mobile.
Dogs do not know about placebo effect, so that makes me believe it works.
BUT THE COMPANY, ALLEGRO MEDICAL is AWFUL> the unit burned out in month and after 1 1/2 months and 3 calls and them just blowing me off, I contacted Amazon. They suggested I go directly to light therapy relief co. I did. they wanted 14.95 to ship a brand new one. I contacted Amazon again and AMAZON was great, they offered me 2 different acceptable options and some pointers and I am totally happy w/ AMAZON...so
1. I do believe this works for me, and it may for you.

I already have returneed the light relief. After using faithfully for 3 weeks, did not find it helped my aching joints(hip and shoulder). Also found it very awkward to use as it should be used against the skin. The shape made it difficult to keep in place. Hoping I will get my refund in a timely manner.
The unit has a built in timer, that shuts it off after 15 minutes to prevent overheating. However, after less than 2 weeks of use, the timer was not shutting off, and it got too hot to touch.
The company is sending me a replacement unit, and hopefully that will have a more robust timer to keep the treatment time limited to 15 minutes as designed.
A friend had one of these machines and I started to use it and had almost instant pain relief re my knee. I bought one and have been using it daily for a number of weeks now and have noticed an appreciable improvement in both my knee and the tendonitis in my foot. Good product and highly recommend it.

I recently got one of these from a concerned friend. She thought that it may work for me as it did not for her. I have several injuries ranging from knee arthritis to tendonitis and others. I tried this product on all of them and was very disappointed. I got some very mild relief from pain in my knee but my heating pad is much more effective for this. The actor they use as a professional spokesman seemed to me to be very trustworthy. I was very surprised to find out that this is nothing more than a glorified heathing pad. In fact as I said my heating pad works better. This product did not work for me or my friend. Please people do not waste your money. Buy a heating pad instead.

It is difficult to tell what the level of healing is or the results but
I do like that it is small and the heat function feels wonderful.Feel it
is a over priced.
I have RA and my hip pain feels like knives are stabbing through the joints. I tried Light Relief as soon as I got it and I felt the difference right away. I will continue using it to see if it works in other areas.
I have read about far infrared and I believe it must be frequently and consistently used to get the most benefit.
This seems to work, but in a very subtle sense. It does take some time to build up to any consistent level, but it really is more chronic, low level pain that seems to be affected. My daughter has spina bifida; her pain is very acute. There is some relief, but I would not recommend this for any conditions of the like.
