The product says it stays cool all night,it doesn't. It is nice and cold when you go to bed but but by the middle of the night it has picked up enough of your body heat that it is warm. I do sleep longer using it though. I would purchase again even though the chillow pillow gets warm.
I purchased this product with great expectations. Very disappointed. I really disliked having to cover my entire pillow when hot flashes are only intermitent. Also, it really only stayed cool for a few hours. Ended up in the trash. Then I discovered the Chillin Pillow. This is an incredible pillow! It was designed to be kept next to your own pillow, then when you feel a hot flash coming, just lay your head on this cooling oasis. Kind of like walking out in the snow without ever getting up. The Chillin Pillow stays cool for several days, and is then easily reactived. I have had mine for over 2 years and it is just wonderful. It is great to see it available here at Amazon. Love it! I Keep this at the head of my bed, and when I get a hot flash at night, I just slip it under my head, and it cools me right down. This is my 3rd chillow in about 5 years, unfortunately they do end up with pinhole leaks, and are difficult to patch. Keep pets with sharp toenails away.
It's absolutely cool and helps me fall asleep. But one thing that drives me nuts is about 4 hours into sleep it feels incredibly warm and forces me to flip the pillow (which is much heavier with this in the pillowcase). I wish they could at least have it warm only to room temp instead of what feels like about 110 degrees somewhere around 3am.
The Chillow really helps keep you cool at night.
The only negative is that it slips around on top of another pillow - but putting it in a snugly fitting pillowcase with another pillow helps keep it in place.
Bought the chillow for my hubby who sweats all night long even with the fan and AC going.
It was a pain in the butt to fill the first time and we had water leakage everywhere when trying to get out the air bubbles despite letting it sit for a full 4 hours as recommended.
He finally started using it to dismal results. It is cool at first but then fades away unless you constantly keep moving it around. (same thing you can do with a regular pillow when you're trying to find a cool spot)
Problem with moving it is that it weighs approx 3-5lbs and slides all over the place in the pillow sack! The product also smells like rubber...yuck! Not pleasant.
I would NOT recommend this to a friend and if I was not so stubborn, I wouldv'e listened to the negative comments before I purchased it and saved my money.
I took a chance and regret it. Don;t be foolish like I was. Don;t bother with the Chillow.

This item is great, especially for someone with MS. I have had 2 questions and have called the company and wonderful. Great. I am going to get another as a space, but was told by company, I really only needed a vinal patch kit. I have not had to have anything yet.

I accidently found this product as I was surfing for things to help relieve the lack of sleep from hot flashes. I came across the ad for the Chillow and it made sense. I am a chemistry teacher and the concept was sound chemistry. So far I am very pleased. It doesn't totally eliminate them but it sure brings a lot of relief, especially in the first few hours of sleep. I really recommend this product and for the price it was well worth it.
In the summer we travel a lot with our two small dogs. When we must leave the in the truck to go into a gas station or to eat.I was worried sick that they would be too hot or that passerbys wuld think I was a horrible
pet owner! I found that putting these pillows in the rear of their dog carriers worked GREAT! Keeps them comfy and oh so cool!
This pillow leaked after a few times of use. When I checked I noticed a small tear in the pillow - how can you get a small tear on a pillow in bed?
I do not recommend it because the quality is inferior and did not last long enough. Another problem is that it crinkled up all the time and I was forever flattening it out during it's short life in my bed.
